The King Heritage & Cultural Centre is pleased to present Variations in Landscape, a limited engagement exhibition of mixed-media artwork by London Ontario fine artist Ben Benedict.
Variations in Landscape is a thought-provoking exhibition that explores the enduring tradition of landscape art in Ontario. Featuring works that range from intimate studies to large-scale mixed-media pieces, the exhibition examines the relationship between place, memory, and artistic expression. Drawing on the legacy of artists such as Homer Watson, the Group of Seven, and the London Regionalists, Benedict offers a contemporary interpretation of landscape through innovative materials, personal reflection, and ecological awareness.
Ben Benedict is an artist, writer, and curator who creates mixed-media artworks inspired by Ontario’s landscapes, history, and communities. His work combines a variety of materials and ideas to explore themes of memory, place, and personal experience. With a career spanning more than 30 years, Benedict has exhibited across Ontario and has received support from the Canada Council for the Arts and the Ontario Arts Council
