The King Heritage & Cultural Centre is pleased to welcome Dr. Alanna McKnight, a Toronto-based historian, fashion expert and corset enthusiast. Dr. McKnight will speak about the truth and fiction of corsetry, and the evolution of underpinnings during Victoria's reign.
Visitors can also visit Queen Victoria's Secrets, a limited-engagement exhibition that explores changes in Victorian middle-class women’s dress and features a selection of textiles and objects from the City of Richmond Hill artifact collection.
