The King Heritage & Cultural Centre and the King Township Historical Society are pleased to welcome author and historian Arlene Chan on Thursday, October 3.

Arlene will speak about the Chinese Head Tax, Chinese Exclusion Act, and their impact on the Chinese community; her talk is directly related to the Standing in the Doorway: Lived Histories & Experiences of the Chinese Community exhibition which is currently on display at the KHCC.

Tickets are available in-person at the KHCC with cash, credit or debit leading up to and on the day of the event. Maximum capacity is 40 tickets.
