Our “Grandma/Grandpa & Me” series is wrapping up the summer to invite you and your grandchildren to tour the KHCC’s newly restored King Railway Station. Explore all things trains and discover the gadgets and technologies that make them go! Take inspiration and work together to build, paint, and decorate your own model train.
Ages: 3+
Open to all grandparents, parents, or guardians and their children!
Cost: $10/person.
Location: King Heritage & Cultural Centre, 2920 King Rd., King City, ON.
Note: This is a guardian participating program. All adults and children must register.

Ever wonder how plants grow? A little bit of sun? Water? And a pinch of magic?
“Garden Tales” invites young gardeners to explore nature’s secrets and stories through a guided tour of the KHCC’s new Indigenous Medicine Garden, a garden-themed storytime, and a hands-on seed planting activity –sprouting curiosity, connection to nature, and green thumbs along the way!
Ages: 3+
Time: 10AM-11AM
Cost: $7/person (This is a parent/caregiver participating activity. All adults must register).

History comes alive as Live History pays a visit to King City on August 9th for it's Raspberry Social!
Live History, A Governor General’s Award nominated international touring theatre company, is hosting a unique escape room in the KHCC's newly restored King Railway Station. Bringing King's history to life through theatre, they present "In Time": giving you - the audience - a chance to be in charge! Complete tasks, discover clues, and solve puzzles; while, interacting with actors to escape the train station.
Each character you’ll meet has a unique list of tasks to complete, so be sure to carefully consider which characters you’ll want to help or hinder. Characters and their stories appear in real time as they go about their day. For a full experience, be sure to spend as much time as possible with each one!
The clock is ticking. The sand is slipping through the hourglass. Lives could be at stake - history could be changed. The whole world rests on your shoulders, and time is running out. Will you be in time?

Age: All Ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Join us bi-weekly, on Tuesdays, to dive head first into all things stitched, handcrafted, and rich in fibre! Bring your project with you: knitting, crochet, rug hooking, felting, quilting, cross-stitch, hand sewing, or any fibre craft you're working on or would like to start. Chat with fellow hobbyists to learn the tips and tricks of their trade; or, participate in our Fibre Library to donate any unused fibre you might have lying around or adopt a new one for your next project!

Join us on our tour "Community is King!" this summer to explore the historic buildings, people, and stories that shaped King Township - and continue to make its community key, or rather, King! This interactive tour will invite you to handle artifacts and investigate technologies from our museum collection, step in the shoes of a Kinghorn S.S. #23 student, and dive into historic fashion and dance culture - and if daring, learn a few dance moves!
Whether you are a new visitor or a returning King resident, there is always something new to discover at the KHCC as we continue to evolve.
